Diamond Water Filter Contamination

We were using our Diamond Energy Water Filter System for 8 years, & we only changed the first filter (ceramic that filters particles & removes chlorine), a few times. The shop that sold us this unit had ceased selling this product. A change of all the 6 filters was also relatively expensive. After a few years, we boiled the filtered water before drinking, as we were unsure of possible contamination

About 5 months ago, we found this Whole Life Plan, where Diamond (NEP Holdings) would take responsibility of the maintenance, which includes filter changes according to the factory. We registered for RM699, and traded in our old unit and received the new model Diamond Classic, and are paying less than RM 50 per month

Diamond has since improved this plan to the current Diamond Home Spring Water Plan, where you can have the same unit by paying a Deposit of either RM499 or RM699, which is better than the registration fee that we paid for the earlier Whole Life Plan

DEPOSIT VS REGISTRATION FEE => well, NEP will give you RM500 in cash voucher, if you choose not to renew after the 3 years contract

In the 3 years, NEP would have serviced and changed the filters according to schedule, twice (end of 1st year & end of 2nd year). At the end of 36 months (3 years), you can opt out of the plan. You can opt to buy up the filter for RM300 (deductable from the above Deposit) or return the unit. However, if you were truly satisfied with the product & the plan, you can renew the contract for another 3 years, & Diamond will give you a new similar unit
